Photo Session // Shelly

As some of you may know, I purchased a Nikon D3400 for my birthday. I have been snapping pictures and doing little "photoshoots" with my sister lately. I love testing out different settings and seeing how my photos turn out. 

Today, I will be sharing some pictures I got from our latest photoshoot :)

I am hoping to start posting more like this and make parts of my blog a sort of "Digital Portfolio" to show you guys my photographs and give you some inspiration, too.

A Stormy Scene

This is not a beauty/fashion post, but I guess we could put this under a lifestyle category. So, here we go. 

For my birthday, I purchased an incredible DSLR with the help of a generous donation from my family. 

I am so excited to take pictures of all of the places I go and the people I see. 

The other day my sister and I were testing out some different modes and we went to the bay. It was getting a little stormy so the waves were rough, which made for some beautiful pictures mixed with the cloudy, gray sky.

A Weekend in North Carolina

Today I am doing a little weekend in my life.

Last weekend I went back to North Carolina to watch some of my wonderful friends participate in the Distinguished Young Women Pageant on Saturday night. But, during the day on Saturday I spent the day with some other great friends. We went to this cool place in Downtown Winston Salem called Burger Batch. I got one of their awesome milkshakes, the Black & White Milkshake, and fries! It was delicious.
